hi can any one tell me if the injectors out of a 1600 16v MAREA will fit a 1600 16v brava both 1998 in year many thanks jason

i would assume its the same engine

cheers managed to get hold of some at last very rare part seems like it must be a common fault regards jason

its very common, if you check the 10 closest scrapyards to me nearly every 1.6 has its injectors removed. i used to sell loads of them last year. there are 2 types of injector of the 1.6, the 4hole and 2 hole type, if you look at the holes where the petrol sprays out you can see how many holes there are. in 1998 all injectors were 4 hole, as used on the engines with a metal upper inlet manifold. thats what you need. if you get some 2 hole injectors dont accept them as they wont work. test the resistance of each injector, a good injector will be 14.5-15 ohms. any less than 14ohms you should bin them. dont worry, changing injectors is easy. good luck
