Technical Brava not pulling well when cold.

Hi all
I've noticed that my Brava does not pull very well(holds back intermittently) when cold(the choke is in operation),but is fine when the choke cuts out as the engine warms up a bit.
I know that you should let the car warm up a bit before driving,but sometimes when I'm late in the morning getting to work....
!!
Could there be a problem with the choke,or does this sound normal?
Any ideas.

Yep,its a 1.6 16v.

1.6 are realy bad for fuel injectors failing, worth keeping in mind if it starts running on 3 cylinders.
