Hi I have a fiat brava 1.4 sx 1997. The problem I have is that when i start the car from cold the car ticks over very low and ends up cutting out, I have to sit on my drive for around 5 mins reving to get the temp to move and then the car does not stall, ok once temperature has got to the half way mark and does not stall. I have been told it could be my idle control valve, could this be right? If so can anyone tell em where it can be located on the engine as I need the part number as my local fiat dealers have asked for this before they can give me a price? How strange you would have thought they would have been able to tell me the part number! Any way I hope someone can help as I have only had this car a week. I also forgot to mention that sometime when I go to start the engine after running it say to the shops or so it does not always start on the first go it makes a popping kind of noise as thogh it backfires, only the once each time and then will start again. any ideas.
