Hi,

3-4 months ago I had a problem with the engine it would just seem to die for a split second while under load. So I changed the spark plugs with no joy and then changed ht leads and reset ecu this work for about 70 miles before symptoms returned at which point I replace the lambda sensor which seem to work but the engine idled slightly uneven and felt flat up to 3500rpm (as if the diaphragm on a car with a carb had split but I believe this does not have one) and now has started to die again. Any ideas of what to try next?

Thanks.

Hi,

When I say I reset ecu I pulled the - lead off the battery for 40 mins so no error code.

Hi there! What injection system have you got? Is it full bosch with motorised throttle? That sounds like your ecu leads are lettimg condensation in, all you can do is dry it up well, spray in some wd 40 and seal it up with insulation tape. We had a similar problem with a 01 bravo and that sorted it untill the tape came off....

Hi,

I had problems with engine idle and cutting out for short amount of time 1-2 seconds and thought it was due to electrics. After changing plugs/ht leads and lambda sensor I took it to the garage and had them put it on there ecu tester after which they told me that the electrics were fine and that it was a mechanical problem so I should check the throttle body and the breather pipes. So could some 1 point in the direction of the throttle body and breather pipes:confused: on a 1.2 brava on a x plate. Also when I remove the fuel cap I get a schhhhh sound does anybody else get this sound?

Thanks.
