hi guys can anyone help me with my brakes when the car is slowly rowling in traffic or whatever reason theres an sound like the brake pads on the passenger side are slightly holding onto the disc? its like a woooing noise that echos through the metal any ideas what the problem is?

sounds like it might be the wheel bearing to me...

if so youl find that when you turn corners it will start getting louder...

check it by jacking up the wheel and first put one hand on the bottom and one on the top of the tyre and rock the wheel and look for any movement..

im crap at explaining stuff... maybe someone else will explain better.. a pic would explain it loads better

but anyways.. its the 1st thing it check as it takes minutes... and its free! :)

You could also have some dirt on the brake pads. This can make noises ranging from a low "Wooo" to a high pitched scream. When driving with the noise present, press the brake pedal very slightly and see if the noise goes away. If it does, and the pads are not worn, then it will usually burn off in a couple of hundred miles. Not much else you can do, other than sanding or replacing the pads.

Check bearings at the same time as mentioned above.

yeah the noise goes away when i press the brakes but my bro in law changed the front and rear brakes about 2 months and i do about 1300 miles a month maybe the problem would have burnt away buy know

also;
when i reverse on full lock the car makes a grinding noise (only noticed after posting message) so it must be the bearing yeh?

sorry if im talking s&$t but im a bit drunk

they werent done long ago either but i do drop the box a lot due to the lack of 2-3k rpm its not as bad as it used to be

with induction kit its better but it needs booting from time to time
