Good Evening,

I will be changing the front brake pads on my fiat panda and was wondering if there is a special piston wind back tool that will be required and if any other special tools or equipment will be required?

Thankyou

The wind back tool is only required for the pistons of rear disc brakes, as found on the 100HP and 4x4 models.
As regards to special tools for replacing the front pads, you only need the tools required for this job on any typical front disc set up.
My experience is that new discs are likely to be needed as well and I recommend measuring the thickness of your existing discs. The wear limit varies from one Panda version to another so I cannot tell you the figure that applies to your car.

Thanks for all advice. Ok i have read the link and understand that you have got to clamp the pipe and open bleader when pushing back piston but wouldn't this put air into the system?

No, it pushes brake fluid out of the system via the bleed nipple. To ensure that no air is accidentally drawn back through the bleed nipple, attach a piece of clear plastic tube onto the nipple and submerge the end of the tube in some clean brake fluid in a glass jar. This also prevents brake fluid spraying all over the place.
The brake fluid reservoir may need topping up with a small amount of fluid at the end of the procedure.
