I set off from home today, and got to the end of the road. I tried to slow down at the junction, and the brake pedal was jammed . No brakes.
After a couple of hard stomps on the pedal, there was a grinding noise, and the pedal freed itself, and was fine for the rest of the journey.
Any guesses as to whether it was a random bit of grit stuck in the pedal, or a sign of something more serious?
It may or may not be related, but on getting to the shopping centre, the front right wheel was noticeably hotter than the left. Probably a sticky brake caliper. That may explain why the Panda seems a bit under-powered at the moment.
I will probably have to take it in to the garage to have that looked at anyway.
It's a 2009 Panda 1.2 Dynamic Eco if that matters.
