Technical brake noises!

Hi guys

New Poster here.

I have a small, but annoying problem with my punto.

Its a 96 55SX with 59K on the clock.

I have an annoying noise coming from my brakes. From cold starts i get a squealing/grinding/scraping noise coming from my brakes when i turn my steering wheel. When i brake i also get a grinding noise. The squealing noise disappears after braking once with the grinding/scraping noise remaining still when i turn my wheels and when i brake. This noise never goes away whether i drive 1, 10 or 20+ miles.

I had new discs and pads 12 months ago.

Please help!

if they were fiats own make of pads they could have worn out by now.

Hi, my brakes make a bit of a strange noise when i first use my car. i took it to a garage and they said on mine it was lack of use...since then i seem to have a turbo sounding noise in 1st and 2nd gear when i first use my car. i suggest ya take it to a fiat dealer and get it checked out.

Mk1 Punto 1.2 60sx metallic green.......my beast!!
