Hi All, I failed my MOT on the rear brakes, which weren't exerting enough force - I wasn't surprised, because the pedal felt very soft, the handbrake didn't do very much and there was a groaning from the right drum whenever I started moving the car. I got them completely overhauled (shoes, drums, even cylinders).
Though the MOT was passed, and the pedal and handbrake work great, I still get the groaning from the rear right drum when I start up the car, and brake to slow for a corner. The groaning continues for about 5 to 7 brakes, and then it stops.
I'm a bit pissed off because after what I went through at the mechanic, I would expect those drums to be silent as I brake. Does anybody with drums experience know what it could be? Is it worth going back to ask for them to fix it?
Thanks!
