General Bonnet catch

Right, I've got an issue.
Bonnet isn't fully closing... Think it's to do with the spring but I'm not sure. There is a bit of play in the clip that you push to get it open with.
Supposed to be like that? Or is it to do with the spring?

Just that it's rattling like he'll in lower gears and I can feel and hear the play in the bonnet when it's down

make sure the springs are in good nic and not stressed maybe try greasing up the catch, but thats only a idea
