Bon Giorno from slightly confused 500 owner!

I've had my 500 MJ diesel for about 11 months, and it is a fabulous car. There are one or two little problems, such as being prone to steaming up all the time, but there's one more major discussion I want to initiate; servicing requirements. The salesman who sold us the car bigged up the 18k to 20k servicing intervals. However, Fiat central and the dealer seem to think otherwise as I have now had 2 reminders that a service is due. As the service book is equally confused, can anyone clarify this? :bang:

Hope this helps. I'm not there yet, only had mine 4 months so don't know personally. I have been told 12 month by my dealer though x
