Hello
does anyone have advice on a few key areas that need bodywork on my Zastava I am restoring?
Is there a Fiat 600 Bodywork Guide Book out there? I know a lot of this is skilled cutting and welding, but I would like to learn.
There are a few rust holes and i cannot locate repair panels for.
  • Left-Rear below window above Boot.

  • Roof
    • The roof has so many dents and is super rusty. Not sure what to do here
  • Front Panel (without hole)
    • I know this is a cut and weld, but I want to see some documentation on best practice.

Thanks so much for any advice.

Hey @RoughEnough. I spent a lot of time repairing body panels and rust spots on my 600 restoration journey. I didn’t specifically write up a how-to guide on rust repair, but I did post plenty about my process. Otherwise, I found the YouTube’s to be an asset for this.

At the bottom of the first page of my 600 ev conversion thread, it shows how I had to rebuild the sheetmetal under the rear window. It was work.

It’s a long read; sorry about that. But it may provide some ideas on how to tackle your car’s rust.

They do sell replacement nose panels and I can attest, they are replaceable. I ordered mine from ricambio most recently.

Otherwise, I’d be happy to chat over the phone or zoom. If you’d like to send a DM we can exchange contact info.

Thanks so much!
I would love to exchange some contact info. I was feeling a little hopeless because im looking around the car and feel overwhelmed.

The undercarriage is in amazing shape but there are exterior panels that need help and I would like to learn.
