My car rejection is still ongoing. I will give a full update soon.

A report I have received says 'The A post was fitted incorrectly causing the door to touch the sill'

What exactly is the A post?

This is only one of 5 reports that states this fact, all 5 views have been different to date!

I think the A post is the bit the door is hinged on. When you say 5 reports, did they all say the A post was not fitted properly.

You should be able to reject the car as it is brand new.

At least you are getting somewhere now Hornet, I've been following your threads with interest and hope you get it sorted soon! I think Poggy is right about the A pillar. I kow the B pillar is the one in the middle between the front and rear doors so that would make sense.

Yup. The pillars go from front to back, A, B, C (and optionally D I guess).

I'm not actually getting anywhere very fast, soon I'll hopefully tell all. Currently I've been told not to by solicitor.

If the A post is not put on properly, fiat will be unlikely to be able to repair the car. Its unknown how this will effect the stability of the vehicle in an accident, it may cause unknown ware and tear on the components of the car (might fix the tire wear problem though ), and thus you should (eventually) be able to move ahead with the rejection.
