I dont think they have done a great job with the coupe tbh, i'd take the hatch over it anyday. Just like the Audi A3 one, they just dont work! Although i wouldnt say no to one if i was offered

I think I would have to agree with the comments posted in the article you posted the link for. It doesn’t add up to me really, although I like the photochopping attempt. Funnily enough, in the first image it looks a bit like a stretched Fabia to my eyes.

those comments are certainly varied!

it would make sense to use the design and tweek it as basically they get a car for nothing, which they sell at a premium as it has a BMW badge on it.

Just lost control on a very notorious bit of road up in the hilly part of cumbria, happens all the time there. Hardly a scratch on her IIRC due to it being a Beemer

I like the look the 1 series coupe, it's reminiscent of small BMW's of the past like the 2002 and E21 3 series. I've always had soft spot for those. I'm not so keen on the look of the hatchback however.

How's that controversial everyone knows its true. Only one that isn't is perhaps an E36 M3 CSL. But even that would get boring after a while.

doesn't surprise me, they pinched the new mini, which was due to replace the 25/100 leaving rover to produce cars which were getting pretty old.

Im not too fond of the 1 series but we recently got the new A3 09 Black Edition 2.0 TDi. Its a great looking car, and it packs some umph, its the 140bhp version, and handles well, although it doesnt like speed bumps because of the sport suspension but still comfy, also have an 09 A6 avant 2.7 s-line.

I agree with who ever said german cars are boring, they are pretty much mechanically sound but arent built with any soul or passion.

Yes nice but its still a machine with no soul. However a 147 GTA with some 18" OZ Ultraleggera's :yum: I'd make many trouser accidents looking at one of them :devil:
