Technical BMC Cone

I wanna replace my K&N for a better filter. I was gonna see if GSR will sell me a BMC cone from the setup they use. I dont wanna buy the full kit cos i have an original looking system on mine on don't wanna loose that. See Here

Can some one tell measure their BMC cone and tell which one of the following it is from THIS site.

all i can find are people either selling the panel filter or the CDA kit

Not got one one the Cinq but have one on the integrale & they are very good quality filters. I would just go for which ever filter will fit the diameter of pipe you have, i.e. code TS** -150 which they recommend for under 1600cc cars. Manufacturers would not sell a filter that can't flow enough air for the engine, plus a bigger filter doesn't actually give you any more performance. Another consideration is where your filter sits, if you have too big a filter it may hit the bonnet when you close it or something else in close proximity?

Yeah i can imagine that a huge filter won't make a jot off diff. The engine can only draw upto a certian level of air in so as long as the filter is big enough to accomodate that then the excess size just be for show.

wanna go halves on gsr bmc kit , i need tubing and thing that attaches to engine but dont need a cone as i got a bfo one

does brickfoot still have one going spare - i remeber he had the stainless filter on his GSR kit
