Assuming you're using the steering wheel buttons; in the menu select 'Media Player, Set USB, Track Loop and Deactivate. Then select Shuffle and Activate. Autoplay will start playback whenever the ignition is turned on if activated.

It's not the most intuitive system... Even I had to sit in the car with the handbook and figure it out! Haven't touched those since I bought the car in 2013!

Problem is our 500 doesn’t come with a manual..

Seems a common issue with used cars. I wonder what people do with them - sell 'em on eBay perhaps.
