OK I bought me a secong hand 2007 GP Sporting recently after upgrading from a Dynamic. One of the features of this which I find to be an absolute dream when it works, is the Blue & Me MP3 functionality.

No more CDs, this is brilliant!

However it has been somewhat problematic. For starters I'm using a 16 GB San disk cruzer pen drive and several times while randomly listening to a song (as you do) the thing would just cut out and 'No media found' would be displayed.

Then I put it on my PC to find that all the MP3s have been wiped so have to synch everything up again.

This seems to be more an issue with the pen drive but now I'm not so sure. The latest problem I have is that it will play random files but I can't actually hear anything. It just shows the name of the track. Also it will not let me browse the artists etc as it says it is rebuilding the media library, nor will it skip onto the next track when I press up or down.

My biggest fear is that the MP3 funtion will stop working altogether no matter what pen drive I use. This will be an absolute disaster for me as I love this when it works. I gather it's pretty much beyond repair when this happens and can cost hundreds for a new unit which I most certainly do not want to pay.

Does the 3rd year warranty cover Blue & Me as this is up in Jan 2010 so still have some time left? I also have an extended warranty after this but doubt it covers Blue & Me.

Any suggestions anyone?

Depends on the issue whether its warranty, Software no - Hardware yes (if your lucky)

Try a smaller stick however, 16GB sounds a little large. I know i tried everything up to 8 with 2 and 4 being the most stable before i added the iPhone adapter.

Cheers for that, I tried a 1 GB stick with a couple of albums on it and it was back to normal working order.

The fact that the stick actually formatted itself is a concern so I have ordered a replacement which will also be 16 GB.

Are there know issues with larger capacity sticks? Has anyone use 16 GB or more without any problems? If so which stick did you buy so I can replace my Sandisk Cruzer with this?

Also does it matter if formatted in FAT32 or NTFS? Usually I go with FAT32.

Thanks :)

USB Stick Problems

Today my radio/CD /MP3 player has decided not to play anymore from the USB stick. It is stating NO MEDIA FOUND. I was using a 2GB USB stick. I tried changing it with other USB sticks that normally works, but still the player is refusing to accept any USB sticks. :bang: Turned on & Off the car a couple of times, and also left it overnight. But still NO MEDIA Found!!!!
Does anybody can help with this issue

Re: USB Stick Problems

Mine has been doing this as i've described in another post, I disconnected the battery for ten mins and reconnected and all works perfectly with my 4Gig, I'm just concerned as it's done it a couple of times, the whole "no media found" even though all the tracks ARE on the stick, got 2 months left on my garage "3month warranty" so wanting to get this sorted if it carries on
