Blue & Me or not Blue & Me

Hi guys,

possibly just about to swoop for a new Panda and I've been quoted 500 beer tokens for the techpack that brings steering wheel controls , bluetooth and a predisposition for Satnav (wtf ?)
On close examination of this forum I see a world of pain surrounding Blue&Me and I'm getting the impression it's very much " in development" ? I currently have newish TomTom Go Live 1005. Presumably that's not going to work with Blue&Me ?
So what are my options ? Run with my existing TomTom another year or so ( cables and cigarette lighter power fiasco included ) or dive in with pukka Fiat TomTom Satnav ?
I guess I'm looking for some reassurance that the Fiat solution is worth all the bother ?

I personally wouldn't bother paying for B&M. It's ok if standard, but I soon ripped it out (literally, ECUs now sitting in the garage) of my car.

Just stick with your current satnav

good call...but my dealer is telling me not many Pandas come with the bells and whistles pre-fitted and I would quite like steering wheel control of the radio, plus I'd like an iPod port ..I suppose a DAB radio is out of the question ?

you won't like B&M then. It's iPod comparability issues is partly why mine got ripped out. You'd be far better off fitted a decent aftermarket headunit which is iPod compatible
