Blue and Me Sat Nav.

Hi guys and gals.

this has probably been asked about a 100 times, but what is the Blue Nav like that you get in the Fiat 500 that fits into the dash? Is it as easy to use as a TOM TOM? And can you install other Maps and speed cameras etc.

If anyone can point me in the direction of some good into, that would be cool too.

I purchased one a couple of weeks ago, the Blue & Me integration is nice, but the maps are really really poor, on a brand new unit the maps were dated Oct 2007! (And seem even older than that). And the actual software is poor, (Only has 5 digit post code search still). It acts and feels like a unit from about 5 years ago.

It has speed cameras built in but I would imagine they are failrly out of date, and the only way you can update this is by using a spreadsheet to add or remove the positions.

I bought mine from Ebay (Fiat Main Dealer sellling them off and I paid £73) even at that price I really dont think its worth the cash as a £50 Tesco special will offer more upto date maps and software, but it integrates with the car so thats the only positive.

I am keeping mine for occasional use when my tomtom is in my other car, but to be honest unless you really value the voice integration I would get a Tomtom or something similar.

If you really must get one, check Ebay, this is the one I got the seller lists them on a regular basis so you could drop them a line and see if they can do you a deal.
