Technical Bleeding cooling system punto mk2

Hi,
I changed the coolant in my mk2 punto yesterday.
Squeezed the pipes,opened the 2 valves,ran the engine,but yet the top hose going into the rad is full of air,how do you get all the air out of the system,
dont want to blow head gasket!

Making sure the heater is on helps.

With engine off, I do the front bleeder first, until coolant comes out. Close that up, open the heater one.

You may have to do it more than once.

LOL I do it the other way round. It helps if you keep the filler neck full to the brim and when you think all the air is out of the back bleeder , it isn't. I fill a water bottle with coolant and upend it on the filler neck , give it a good squeeze to blast the air out.
