blaupunkt radio help

hi new here just got a second hand punto it has a blaupunkt san remo cd 31 radio in it my problem is i have no control of headunit nowt happens when i push buttons when i turn car on unit lights up but just shows 0.00 what i take is the clock for it goes up as i drive but goes back to all zero every time i switch car off do i need a code as previous owner had just put new battery in or is the unit broken

if it's a MK1 punto 1994 to 99 then it's possibly the original unit..,
( you can get a CODE for free if you make a donation to FF - see ICE section)

also say HI in the Mk1 punto section ,
somebody will know if that's your issue..,

Blaupunkt San Remo CD31 is not a standard Fiat radio, it's an aftermarket radio.

It has a removable front panel so doesn't have a security code.

If it doesn't remember the time when you switch it off, it's likely to be a problem with the permanent power supply to the radio.

i take the headunit is broke as i can push every button but does nothing apart from light up
