Technical Blaupunkt equalizer problem

I have a problem with this radio since we bought the new Fiat Punto (sound) it last year.
It is about a Blaupunkt radio that came with it.

This radio has an option to adjust and save you own equalizer settings. The problem is that the equalizer turns itself of after you turn off the engine. When you start the engine you have to select your usersetting manually again.

A friend of mine has the same problem and neither Fiat nor Blaupunkt will do anything to solve this problem.

I was wondering if anyone else has the same problem and knows what to do.
