Blaupunkt CD changer

Just ordered a 19JTD Dynamic3 door Stilo, has single cd player, already have a 1.6 Stilo Dynamic 02 plate, bought a Blaupunkt changer 1DC A09 to fit cassttee radio, fitted by Fiat in cooler box.
Told now that cd changer can not be changed to new car, radio will will have put security code on it so only works with that HU.
Does this sound right?
If so would rather pull out and put in bin rather than leave in car.

Sounds like your dealer is drumming up extra trade as there should be no reason why the changer can't be transferred to the JTD.

The changer has its own 'code' which needs to be entered before a headunit recognises it and you should have been provided with this by the dealer when they fitted it - if you don't have this then you should be having words with the dealer.

Other than that, it shoudl be a straight swap with the dash liner which is removed from the JTD being fitted into your Dynamic.
