Its not mine its our lasses

Shes only had it 6 hours and its already has an issue

Its the Bold model (9780 version) on O2 but not bought from a shop, rather ordered from O2 over the phone once upgrade was available

Basically she registered an email address and a password in order to download apps etc

Tried to download an app her mind went blank and she forgot the password, tried what she thought it was and it obviously didnt work

Tried resetting password using the 'reset password' facility on the phone, gave her an email link to click which she did (not on the phone but on the PC) and then answered the 'forget password' question correct before entering a new password

Everything had been reset according to Blackberry site, the email address originally used wasnt changed, just the password

Shes been entering the new password and it comes up with 'error please try again later', which it has said for the past 2 hours

Ive tried resetting the phone to its original factory settings, ive been on websites with step by step guides, but they arent really helpful as the layout is completely different to this one, the sites ive visited are .com so maybe they are for US versions? There doesnt appear to be any UK sites

Blackberry forums are just as unhelpful - They are US based but too many foreigners making suggestions with no apparent answer given

Also tried a search on here but they come up with blue+me issues, which is irrelevent

Anyone had similar issues? Really struggling with this, the only thing left is to take it into an O2 shop in my opinion

Try checking all the internet settings too! might not be a problem with the password but the way it's trying to send and receive info! you should fine the right settings on O2's website!

And this is going to sound really patronising but try taking out the battery and sim wipe the sim and put it all back then try! I used to work for O2 and you wouldn't believe the amount of times this would resolve a problem!

But do check the settings before you take it to a shop cause they will either do it or send you home to do it (depends on how lazy the assistant is)

and i'm guessing you've already tried this?

hope you get it working (y)

Update - O2 have said to ring Blackberry, the problem is 'beyond their capabilities'

If she's doing it over mobile internet on the BlackBerry and not Wi-Fi, the settings may have been deleted when you reset the phone like neeny09 said above me. I used to sell blackberries for a living and after a hard reset we had to manual enter the internet settings or the user would get errors.
