General Black roof strips - removal

Hello all.
Does anyone know how to remove the black strips on the Cento roof without ruining them? I'm about to repaint the roof and it will be much easier to do the job without those strips present.

cant find the guide on this anyone got a link ? i too want to take my plastic off to restore them / wrap them in carbon decal sick of them going white and blotchy despite using expensive detailing chemicals.

mine is still black- fairy liquid and luke warm water

turns out mine are stuck on and clipped by the look of it,so will mask around them wet and dry sand them smooth then wrap in carbon decal...not worth bending or breaking them just for cosmetics ...must admit i thought owning a sei would be an easy car to take appart ...my flippin golf and saabs easier..lol

They are normally just held on with plastic clips that slide in the under runner. I use a gasket scraper and gently prise them off.

Ive never seen them glued onto the roof before.
