i know this has probs been covered many times but cant get a definite answer

so last week i got to my car and found overnight all the coolant had leaked out and there was the minimum level of oil. so i topped up both....bleeding the radiator too to try ensure no air locks.

the car has also been sluggish at random times

now i find that the oil car has the creamy oil stuff......the water level has been fine since......the heater seem to work fine....but the can can be very sluggish at random times....could this be the head gasket.......if so how much am i looking at for labour??

thanks

Mayo in oil cap, loss of coolant, loss of power...... oh yes, it looks like HG failure. Could do with a compression test to prove it. Can't quote you for labour costs as would do such jobs myself but I would guess it's going to be 3-4 hours at say £50 per hour plus parts (say £50) and maybe cost of skimming head (say £50). If going to a garage, get a quotation, not an estimate. Try more than one place if possible, to compare price. A phone call should be sufficient to get a fixed price quotation as it's a common job.

red.
