In attempting to identify the optimum final drive for the car, i've created a quick gear ratio calculator that has helped compare speeds/revs in various gears (its on my site here)

It clearly highlights the inadequacy of the standard ratio for my use. Current thinking is a 4.92:1.

The run at Harewood tomorrow will give further chance to see out it is 'in practice'.

I had a great day at Harewood yesterday, got very sunburned, trimmed my times through the day, and ended up 2nd in class! The great thing about Harewood is you can compare splits with others in class - so I now have a good idea where the class winning Pug has the advantage.

I've got a video up on the site, also check out the one of Chris Snell. Chris is disabled and uses hand controls on his turbo'd bike engined Westfield - 1 hand on the steering wheel, and 1 on the throttle/brake. Awesome!

just had a look at your website...
Q1= you show a pic of the Avo coilover next to a standard shock.but the Avo unit has no top mount,Where do you get these as my top mounts are knackered??? +

im on KW coilovers but im sure the top mounts will be the same as all they need is a spring seat and a hole in the centre, they should be the same, but i know you can get diff dia. springs and piston rod thingys(y)

Q2= Do you have bump stops under those red gaiters??

Cheers Tom

The damper has its own top seat for the spring, and uses the original top mounts. I'd assume these are a dealer-only part. Kristian is correct that there is no bumpstop.

I've had a couple of requests for details of the airbox design i'm using, so i've stuck a pdf of the drawings for the prototype up on the cinq page on my website.

niceone!

Perhaps that be should be added to the induction FAQ

Incidently, what about just putting a filter on top on the TB, like this
Is the induction hosing used just to get more air flow/cold air?

why dont you have a catch tank?? i was going to run my breather back into my inlet but me dad strongly sugested that i didnt because they only do it for emisons.

He said i should use a catch tank or run a hose up abit the right down to the bottom of the car with a filter on it.

I'm sorry, but i've no idea what you mean

The very big pipe is for the air intake, the very little pipe is for the cam cover breather (y)

The length of the box is designed so you can cut the GSR hose before it tapers.
