whats gives the best ride (not talking about sex) size of wheel and how much of a drop. thinking of getting 17s but if the ride gets worse will give it a miss....

On 17's the ride does get worse yes, but you get used to it and it also depends on what roads you drive on!
As for a drop, depends how low you want. GMAX springs are pretty stiff, and will make the ride worse still!

bigger wheels mean that the ride will get worse...think i will stick with my hgt wheels.
are there any advantages of bigger wheels apart from looking good.

i'd say so - bigger wheels can be wider, therefore having more grip due to more rubber on the road, also, with lower profile tyres, they wont change shape as much (ie move side to side) when cornering - altho this is probably really really unoticable.
