Technical Best Air Filter/Intake Setup?

Im currently putting together a setup using a Pipercross Viper, some silicone hosing, and the throttle body top from a 899cc cinq for my sporting. Will post pics and part list when complete.

There is currently a K&N on there which is unprotected from the hot air in the engine bay, so it currently sucks in hot air, not cold, the green one is as poor a design.

throttle body top??? you havent searched the forums have you? :bang: otherwise you'd know its called a 'bob':D

GSR make a good piece of kit for the cinq but its over a ton.

Getting a new cotton or foam panel filter for the existing airbox is a cheap but effective solution.

Sorry my bad again, didnt realise you were calling it a bob, it took me a while to find out where you were getting them from, managed all of that using the Search :p

Didnt I read on a different thread that GSR had folded or am I wrong?

People write a lot about GSR. Ignore it. It is alive and kicking developing a lot of new products.

 My claim to fame, I work with the owner of GSR motorsport (Graham Still racing).. he makes ali intercoolers.. And Er, nothing for Cinq..

GSR Motorsport is now known as Italian Performance. They are currently developing new gear. Rob is trying to disestablish links with GSR and will be specialising in the supply of performance bits for Italian Cars but also the development of new parts e.g. Induction kits. Watch this space!!!
