The hesitation when hot

Did it start at the same time as the other faults

Does the hesitation coincide with either the steering or battery warning light

no the hesitation started around two years ago charging problem couple of weeks ago, tested the system the battery is not being charged at all so points to alternator but is there any other quirks on the twin air where it may be belts or pulley etc

As long as the D+ (exciter) the small of the two cables is getting around 12V while cranking, to kick start it going and the alternator is spinning

Without the 12V at cranking there will be no output from the alternator

I have simplified what's going on to keep it short
