Help please - new B owner and starting to get down and dirty - I want to replace the rear disc brake shields which seem to be thin pressed steel items with no rust proofing!! Is there a website I can source these and other parts from? - last time I tried ebay there was nothing showing or are they unobtainable, meaning I'll have to renovate the ones I've got. I'm also looking for some standard rear springs and I'm fairly sure the the calipers are doing to be painted red at the same time as undertaking these jobs! As a 'Newbie' I'm really finding the FF very helpful and not at all frequented by a load of Italian-car-crazed maniacs!!

Hi , thanks for that - I'll spk to my nearest dealer. By the way - Alfasud Sprint?? FAB car - keep up the good work!

Hi Thanks - I've just spoken to my local independent and suggested a B was known as a Punto in a pretty dress (!) and he said more like a Bravo - in a pretty dress.... (not the 5 cyl HGT) so maybe I'll pursue the differences between the Bravo and Punto rear axle and then compare to the B. Many thanks

If you check out the exploded diagram on ePer. The parts are the same as the early Punto GT.

Steve
Hi. many thanks - just discovered ePER - you're right of course - the Bravo I looked at has drum rear brakes... - I'll pursue the Punto items (and hope they're cheaper than the B equivalent parts!).

Seeing that you are quite a new member looking at the amount of posts....

Maybe just stating the obvious here, especially for old members....

If you contact www.barchettaparts.com they are currently breaking a 2004 Barchetta and may have the part you are looking for that is in better condition than yours. Give Henk a call and see what he currently has on offer :)
