Barchetta engine into brava HLX

I have the above car with a defunct engine,the car is far to good to scrap.I have an oppurtunity to buy a low mileage barchetta engine for it,will it fit???Ive looked through the forum first for past similar questions but cant find any real answer,I appreciate any help ,

The engine will fit but wont run... the barchetta has a variable valve timing where as yours doesnt, yu would require the ecu etc to make it run.

You would have 130bhp instead of 115 but i personnally dont think its worth your tie,money and hassel, wait for a direct replacement.

The barchetta has the same engine as the mk2 punto hgt, so dont get one of those either
