I've got a grasping sound when changing to 3rd gear, and by releasing the clutch pedal and pressing it again before putting in the gear there's no sound. From what I understand that's a good sign of a bad synchronizer ring in the gearbox...
I've been thinking of changing gearbox oil to see if that sound could become somewhat less annoying, or at least to prevent things from going worse... Any suggestions on what oil to use? I only use the B during summer, so the question is really: What oil is best for a gearbox that is worn and is not used during wintertime? What about viscosity?
Anyone with experience from Redline Shockproof?
