Technical Average mileage sporting

whats the average mileage on a punto sporting mk1 until tey are more unless shag*ed?????

depends how you look after it atleast do an oil change every 6000 miles

My MK1 has 91k now and I do 1k per week in her. Regular oil change and servicing - and the CAM belt at 34k ints and it should last quite a while!

N reg 95 Black, going strong at 86,000. I've been told that the 1.6 8 valvers are a very strong and long lasting engine. It was an insurance write off and rebuild before I got it at a bargain price 6 years ago. I also had a go at writing it off too once with a little help with a dry stone wall. My only worry with it is some rust that is appearing on the roof along the top of the windscreen. When the water starts coming in it will be time to say Ciao Punto!

could always get the rust fixed? cost less than a new car. Treat it early, and save even more!

Already have done. It seems to have stopped the rust's progress but having had several Fiats in the past I know that stopping rust is only a temporary thing.

Sadly stopping rust is near impossible, good luck though.

new fiats dont rust yours must have had a bodged repair at some time.

I've been told by a Fiat repair specialist that Mk 1 Punto's are very prone to rust along the top of the windscreen area.
