On my x244 (2006) vehicle the foglights were prewired with the connectors parked on dummy plugs attached rear of the front bumper. In addition to the lights, a centre panel foglight switch would also have been required.
Instead of fitting foglights, I chose to make some minor wiring modifications, and fit DRLs instead.
If your vehicle is an x250 or later the body computer may need updating to accept the foglights.
The parked prewired connectors will be visible from below, if fitted.
