After reading the disgraceful act on mase by another member of this forum, shouldnt we have some sort of thread in each section like that panda lot do telling them they are bidding etc and maybe others can relent???

This would possibly stop acts like the mase incident happening again.

Surely, the winner is the winner, whether I am bidding against someone from the forum or not.

Yeah thats right, me and dave regularly bid against each other, but we recognise that ebay is ebay and were trying to get a bargain for ourselves.

I think its a Gentleman's/Lady's (;)) Agreement. The Panda lot do a lot of swapping/buying/selling. much more than other sections of the forum. I think its up to each individual member as to whether they broadcast their intentions to bid for an auction.
