I've got the standard punto subwoofer and am trying to connect it to my head unit, the only problem is that I don't have the standard white connector block that comes with the sub. Therefore I was wondering if anyone knows which pin is which on the white connector block (see pic below i.e what is pin 1 ,2,3 etc for?). Any help would be really great.. Thanks

Thanks for that, but I already looked at this post, it only tells me what the pis on the head-unit end do....

I am basicaly wanting to know which pins on that connector in the picture are the ones for connecting the subwoofer signal, the power and output from auto antenna. From what I have read I understand that not all the pins on that connector are used so I want to make sure I connect to the right ones.

Hope this is a bit clearer.

Thanks.....

That's the bit I don't have, that's the problem. I am fitting this subwoofer into a base model MK2 so there are no wires there already to take it, I will have to install them all. That's why I need to know which pin does what so I can connect each of the necessary wire to each correct pin.

Thanks for your help so far by the way!

if im not mistaken there are no wiers on the sub unit, that socket in the picture is in the top of the standard sub and normally you have a conenctor to plug into it wich is missing due to the lower trim level.

the wires that conect up to them are
live
earth
switchable live
rear right +
rear right -
left rear +
left right -

at the moment i do not know for certain but would think 45 and 67 are the speaker ones. its a bit late now but if no one else has found out i will try and look at the connector in my car tomorrow after work and see if i can work it out for ya.

:Dok i just been to check the wiring in my car soo assuming that picture is the socket on top of the sub here are the wiring details
description of wire colour
1, Live red
2, auto antena (switches sub on) white
3, earth black
4, drivers side rear speaker blue red
6, drivers side rear speaker blue white
5, passenger side rear speaker orange brown(maybe black)
7, passenger side rear speaker orange green

as you can see i have not listed if the speaker wire were the + or - wire as this i could not see. i have takn these detals straight from back of my car by visual looking. the colours are the origional fiat wire colours and should be pretty accurate how ever there was low light at time and the one marked white may have been a light yellow. also the red power wire may have had a black stripe but i couldnt see all way round teh wire.

this should help you. oh you also ned a fuse in top of the sub but forgot to check the rating
