Styling Are these legal?

Hi guys! Just purchased a mk2 bumper for my Sei and wondered if the small square plates are legal for road use in the UK?

probably not, but its a non endorse-able £30 fine for incorrect plates so you will only get hassle from bored police about them. however they will pull the rest of your car apart looking for something to do you for!

Above post is wrong they are fine

So long as they are the correct font and the correct size then you will have no problems

That is the same style plate you will find on a jap inport or a motorbike.

They should be fine to use providing you are going to have the correct font and spacing as said before.

Im still to see a cento pull those plates off .

Does a MK 2 bumper fit straight on then? or does it need some mods first?

Yes goes straight on but you might want to change the indicators to MPI ones as there is a visible gap, however you dont have to do this

You really want to change the front indicators at same time as they slightly different shape. Handily you have posted a pic of a car (not seen that one in a while lol) that has mk1 indicators and mk2 bumper, see how they don't quite match up right...

perfectly legal... ive been using that style plate since I want with a turbo to free up space to get air flow to the intercooler.

todger: motorcycle plates altho the same shape as that are actually quite a bit smaller and so are the letters.
