Should there be more articles about Fiat Bravo/as and Mareas in Parliarmo?

Just got my latest Parliarmo which features the truly awesome, gorgeous, stunning 155HGT in Broom Yellow on the cover (;)) but yet again, no article on Bravos! :(

However, directly under the picture it says "Cambelts"!!! Hmmmm, subliminal message anyone??

Even more annoying is that despite this Freudian slip there isn't even a mention of the Bravo in the "Cambelts" article.

That's it!! I think Shabash! and all the BOO cars need to have their minute of fame. Time to submit an article. ;)

Parliarmo is indeed the monthly publication of Fiat Motor Club GB and if you are a member you get a copy once a month (twice a year for BOO affiliated members).

They don't exactly publicise themselves! Why isn't someone on here advertising for new members? Also, they don't seem to be open to younger Fiat owners with modified cars. A while back on the forum there was a long discussion prompted by Marco (mdpunto16v) about this. He was basically slated as his Punto is heavily modified. The Fiat Motor Club needs to move with the times if it wants to avoid extinction. At the moment it consists of a group of elderly people at the core and many inactive members that probably subscribe each year out of habit!

It's always bugged me as well that there are so many Fiat clubs. There must be literally dozens! The Fiat Motor Club should be trying to bring all these clubs under the one umbrella.

Couldn't agree with you more Steve. May explain why there were only 75 cars at the National Fiat Day earlier this year. :(

IIRC Parliamo ("Let's Talk" ????) is compiled by Club members writing articles. I wrote a couple myself about 2 years ago, about my Tipo ownership and my then new to me 126. So if it's Bravo/a/Marea stuff thats wanted or anything else that interests you, then get writing, thats what I did.

It was also the FMC that got me onto the Fiat Forum, via the link that is on the FMC website.

As well as going to the Nationals, I regularly attend all the regional events coming under the Northeast & Lincs banner, because Chris works hard to organise stuff. Granted that sometimes it is always the same twenty or thirty faces but then you can't force people to get involved. Saying that, these people have become my mates and I always end up having a good laugh and a great time. We're not all old either with the majority in their twenties/early thirties, and as far as I know no one has been frowned on for having a modded car.

The only way you get an FMC presence regionally is if you have a good organiser who promotes the club, or you become an organiser yourself & do the promoting.

Cheers

Vin

PS.

Also, there are quite a lot of people who, like me, post on and enjoy, both the FMC Forum & the Fiat Forum.
