all chips do is confuse engine management in believing it is still running cold and puts more fuel in so in time not only costs you in more fuel but also knackers your engine as it will be running to rich if you want it chipped have it done properly in the ecu and you wont go far wrongchips you buy on ebay for £2.00 cost about 10p from maplans so as far as i am concerned its (n)

The chips you buy on ebay for £2.00 cost 10p from maplans all they do is confuse your engine management into thinking it is still running cold so puts more fuel in. not only do you use more fuel it also knackers your engine in time its like running on choke all the time. the best way is to have your car chipped the right way in the first place ie ecu .but at the end of the day it is up to you if you buy one.me i know what i would do £2.00 chip or £1000+ for new engine.so for me its a (n)

I think they use these chips on GT4. There is a 40bhp Panda which you can chip to 98bhp. So they must work.

i had one of them fitted for a bit to my sei, the only diference i found was that you could drive it faster when you first started up. Took it out after a few months.

Yep I was joking. I'm fairly sure that not much will take a 42bhp Fiat to 98bhp!

THE CHIPS ARE CRAP DON'T BUY THEM. Maybe we should have that plastered in the forum background! :D

the best chips are from toffs, muswell hill or skipjacks, queensbury, as for cars, best left alone mate!
Bit of a blanket statement there! The 'chips' on ebay aren't chips, they're just resistors. Proper chips, programmed properly, are OK. 29bhp extra for a Coupe 20VT for £35... :D
