Technical Anything obvious for a new owner?

Just bought a (very) cheap little 1.3 dynamic multijet and am delighted with it so far. She's quite high milage, 160k, but one owner with full service history. Is there anything other than common sense things (reg oil change, etc,) to be aware of?

I can't say specifically but as it is a fully stamped up history, I'm assuming it was done at the required milage.

It's not a requirement in a service here in the UK, and is suppose to last the life of the engine

But in India

Several have let go at around the 90K mark, with no warning, expensive to repair, but there's at least 2x examples on the original chain at 1/2 million miles in vans

Thanks for that info, from what else I've read it seems to be all down to regular servicing and oil changes. As she does seem to have been looked after, I'll be cautiously optimistic that it won't need doing but I'll get a couple of quotes just to see if it's economic to do so.
