Ta (y)
I think the biggest i can go is 12" really. 15" will be too big for the bass reprocussion that i want. I listen to alot of DnB and it needs tight bass most of the time so 12" in a sealed box fits the bill properly :D

But an upgrade on these sounds feasable :D

Definitely agree with you Luke on the sub, I use a single 12" Pioneer sub in a custom sealed box and it's great for D'n'B, it thumps like a good 'un but doesn't sound ragged on those long deep notes. Although a 15 would be nice for a bit of "oh-s**t-my-heads-gonna-explode" kind of monster bass :D
Other than that it looks a pretty good setup, only thing I'm not sure about is using both 6x9's and rear components. I'm guessing you want the 6x9's to fill in the lower midbass range between sub and components, but it might be wise to run them on a low-pass filtered amp at about 250Hz cut-off to avoid interfering with the midrange and treble produced by the comps.

You're correct 'bout the 6x9s, they're set up just right on the amp. They fill in totally the midbass section, and have a good kick on the treble too as they've got horn loaded tweeters.

The rear components are a bit of a grey area at the mo, i've got the tweeters in at the mo but i was considering making door mounts for them and the mid bass driver to go more in the middle of the car. Failing that i may just make some kickwell pods and put them there - have 2 sets of components upfront

They're only small components 13cm so they dont really produce much bass wise, as do my front ones.

A decent battery to run them off rather than relying on the standard battery. A red top should run that nicely, but a yellow would be capable for the upgrades. :p
Apart from that, nice set up. U got any pics to put on this thread? (y)

Yea i was thinkin that actually (y) HAve a red top and a split charger, so i can keep the original car battery seperate.

As for pics, i've only got some low res ones from my phone at various different times. The subs n amps arent nicely trimmed cos my boot needs to be accessable from time to time and i've got too much junk in there already :D

Pics coming in a min...

Go OTT with the sound proofing. Make sure you use every last bit you have. When i first got my car i had all huge intentions to do...Put proofing above the roof felting.......take the seats out......, but then thought that will take too long and i have to drive it every day. :D

Any soundproofing makes a huge diff. (y)

Got another quick idea for you. Custom tweeter pods in the front. Its really easy to do, it shows you in the max power haynes manual if your not sure. They look amazing once they are done really hide 'sticky outy bits' well. Not farmilular with unos, but you could make a pod to fit where your tweeters are at the mo, not sure what the thing behind it is though. lol :p (y)

Thats one of the heater vents, thats why i aint really done much there. :(

As for the sound proofing, so far ive bought about 16 sqr foot of the stuff :D (4 rolls) That should do the rear hatch, spare wheel and boot floor and prob the rear wheel arches. If i've got enough i'll try and get the rear part of the roof done too. If i run out i'll just have to buy some more at a later date :D

Dont particularly wanna go OTT cos im only keeping the car for another year or so till i can afford the insurance on an Uno Turbo. Oh the plans for that :D
