unfortunatly 2 claims in 3 (max) years of driving makes you a fairly high risk.you really just have to phone around,as even if one person gets a cheap quote from one company ,it doesnt translate you will.
oh yeah turn off the CAPS LOCK ;)

many thanks nick

and i have taken caps off sorry ( ;)

I am currently about to renew my car insurance. Not with Tesco! I paid 1,000 last year, but with 1 bump since and some 17" wheels & lexus lights i have been quoted £660 with Admiral. I think at your age and 2 bumps you have had they will quote you high because it shows no matter who's fault or how it happened you are a high risk. Try admiral anyway.

m8,your gonna have to call more than 4 insurers.when i phone for quotes i usually phone all the free phone ones in the yellow pages 1st.might be worth trying one of the more mod friendly insureres as you are parcieved as a high risk.when i was heavy modding i used http://www.adrianflux.co.uk/

Alright,

This probably wont help but i am 19 drive a 1.2 8v active sport (2004) and my insurance is £1000 wi th norwich union with a pass plus cert. maybe u should try them?

I haven't had an accident, but Adrian Flux have been good to me (and quite a few mates) with my 2001 HGT - £440 fully comp, but the excess is really high. Norwich Union didn't quote me happy at £1900 and a lot of people wouldn't touch me with a barge pole despite being 24.

Try Asda insurance, thats who im with. They were by far the cheapest for me. They aren't **** like some people think coz they are part of Norwich Union. I had a pass plus certificate and they knocked £900 of their original quote because i had one. Ring them up for a quote though, the website quotes aren't accurate.

hope this helps, good luck

Insurance is just a big rip of man, i mean about 2yrs ago some little scrote broke into me punto and cleaned it out, took everything and ripped me stereo out that was only 2mnts old at the time. I was fully comp at the time and only paying bout £20 per mth, i claimed as the damage that was done was quite bad thus dropping me straight back to 2yrs no claims(i had 5 full yrs nc at the time too). Now im being penalised by the insurance companies cos i have 1 claim (wasnt even due to bad driving) Also my g/f crashed the car bout a month ago so now i have 2claims against me so my premium is going to rocket again next yr at renewal. Only one of the claims was due to bad driving tho. Im currently paying £36 tft so god knows what its going to cost next year. Is annoying cos whether or not your fully comp or tft, have a claim and your out of pocket either way cos you have to pay your excess or your own car repairs like me this time around.

I'm a bit of an old fart now (apparently) being 30 but have been with Admiral since I was 23 and have always found them to be very reasonable. They also have a 'bonus accellerator' policy which is a 10 month policy that gives you a full years' no claims at the end of it with them.

When I first joined them I had a prang and they were one of the very best quotes.

Top customer service every time too.

I got my renewal notice through from Tesco's the other day and to my astonishment it had gone down. I have paid them 2k over the last 2 years, but even now with 1 bump and 400 excess my quote is £643. I couldn't believe it. I haven't declared my 17" alloys yet though or my lexus lights so that might bump it up a considerable bit more. Failing tesco's i'd got a good quote from Admiral of this same price.

A lot of people have had bad experiences with them but try Direct Line.

I'm with them and haven't ever had any problems!
