anyone know how to fix a tomtom satnav?

i was given one last night by my uncle. he said that it wasnt charging and no light was coming on, and he couldnt be bothered to fix it.
well, i got home, put it in my car, and the charging light came on
however, after a night charging in my car, it still wouldnt turn on. the unit only came with the car cradle, and is of dubious origin

anyone suggest what i can do with it? i was gonna take it apart but the torx screws it uses are too small for anything i have.

Push the reset button.

if you're comfortable with microelectronics and you've got a multimeter handy get stuck in.

first thing i'd check is the power button and the screen's cable.

If its a TTOne or a Go, They have a problem of getting stuck powered off.

I'm not sure where the reset is on a TTOne, but on a go its underneith. Says reset. get a pin and push it. I bet it turns on.

true the reset button should always be the first thing you try. pretty much all sat navs freeze occasionally.

aww neg feg...

it dont work. ive tried the reset button with the power button together, and every thing i can think of, charged it up more, no good. i wonder if the battery is knackered?
maybe its time to ebay it as non working.
