Styling Any suggestions !!

hey people,

kinda new to this.

anyway, recently bought a 1.6 elx (p reg) punto!

its got 14in allloys, and tinted windows, and its been slightly lowered

any suggestions for what i could do to make it look better and drive better (basically, giving it the 'x factor' )!!

Hi

I'd swap the 14" alloys for something bigger. Being a 1.6 it will be able to cope with the heavier wheels, maybe go for 16's, I think they go straight onto mk1s.

I know its only an inch but id go for some 15" wheels or maybe even 16" wheels! It'll look much beta and give you more grip on the road and you could sell your other wheels on ebay?! How low did you say you have gone, i wouldn't go much lower than 40mm springs unless your thinking about getting a suspension kit?! Then id go for 60mm.. Just depends on your bank balance really Well quite a few years a go now; when i had my mk1 punto i had it drop 60mm on some 15" tsw venon, the old classic rim! and that was only a 1.1 but it use to stick to the road well i flung it round the corners

My brother has a Mk1 Punto. You should lower it on 16's as he has no problem with rubbing and hasn't done any archwork.

i no my one is a mk2 but i lowered my 1 35ml springs & put it on 17's & did no arch work, only rubs a little on the plastic inner arch if i turn the wheel to the right & hold it there, i would say get bigger wheels, then if u can lower it any more do that

Sounds like you've got a really nice starting point. Presumably you're all colour coded with foglights and stuff. I'd go for a decent exhaust first e.g. ITC box £165 from Powerfiat.com, then K&N induction kit - before going bigger on wheels and lower on springs etc. Keep it neat.
