Any Ideas To Repair My Puntos Bodywork!!

I recently bought my first car a fiat punto 1.2 2001 and my bonnet has got stone chips and scratches on it, also abit on the rest of the bodywork any ideas on how to repair it

Fill the chips carefully with a touch up pen, polish some of the scratches out.

What I've done in the past is this

1) Give the car / stonechips a good clean first - not using a wash and wax product
2) Buy colour match paint and lacquer and mix together a small amount.
3) Get a very small paintbruch and touch in the paint to the stonechips. Leave 24 hours to harden
4) Using 2000grit wet and dry on a sanding block, flat the repair back. Check regularly if the repair is flat so to remove the minimum of paint and avoid going through the clearcoat.
5) Using an abbrasive polish on a rotary polish the area
6) Using a mild abbrasive finishing polish on a rotary polish the area
7) Stand back and enjoy handiwork
