Basically as the bumper on my car has been messed up by someone/thing!

I have decided that this is the perfect excuse for a 1242 swap!

So basically where did everyone get their 1242's from and how much?!

Also if anyone has one for sale even better?

Thanks

Check with insurers and get definate quotes before you put a 1242 in. You may get a nasty surprise otherwise.
As for prices i think you may be talking £150ish for the engine. The previous owner of my car paid about £200 in June 03 (according to the reciept).

How does the bumper being damaged cause the need for a 1242 engine.

if you look through past posts somebody mentions where they got their 1242 engine from it was called CHESHIRE VEHICLE SUPPLIES or something similar and they were around £150

pm arseofbox as he renewed insurance recently just after installing his 1242 so could tell you the difference in premium

If you need to buy a bumper etc why don't you trawl the breakers yards and get all the bits you need. Try to see the engine running and compression test it before you buy it (unlike me who bought £200 worth of scrap). Post on the Punto forum and see if anyone is breaking a low mileage 60?

Thanks for the help.

I had kindda guessed that people had got them from breakers which I was also planning on doing just wanted to double check.

Cheers again.

Ditto on £150.

Replace everything yu can whilst its out...saves a ballache later

I'm gonna be annoyin now everything?
Cambelt etc.....???

I was also thinking of upgrading the brakes at the same time.....
Has anybody tried putting Bravo/a disks on.. I know you need 14's to do this though.

This should improve the stopping power a lot for not much money?
