amping front door speakers in mk2 punto.

Hi FF,

im a bit stumped, how do i amp my front door speakers in my mk2 punto.

obviously i thread the wires through the front of the car from the boot under the carpet, ALREADY DONE.

but how do i actually get the cable through to the speaker?

i have some diamond d362.5i speakers, and they're going to be amped by an alpine 2 channel.

do i need to remove the gromit from inside the the car, next to the door, and thread the cable through then connecting to the speaker. or do i cut the old speaker cable, make some of it bare, and connect it to the amped up cable?

First way. Remove gromit, feed cable through connect up to amp. Im prsuming you have hooked up the 2nd amp with RCA's to the HU?

yea i have 2 amps, 1 alpine 2 channel, and 1 alpine monoblock.

2 sets are rca's feeding from the back of the HU to the boot, obviosuly where the amps are.

diamond sub is wired up and working fine.

the 2 channel amp is wired up correctly, just need to connect the front door speakers.



would it be just as good is i cut the existing door speaker cable, from inside the car, and connected the amped up speaker cable to it using a proper connection?

and also, how do i remove the gromit, is it easy enough to put back on aswell?

Run proper speaker cable the standard is crap. Cant remember what its like on a mk2 so cant say how easy it is.
