i wired up my rockford amp uip bot 3 months ago and everthing is ok except from when i did it at the time i couldnt find the 12v accessory out on my JVC KD-S7R to connect the remote lead for the amp so i made a loop from the speaker wire. this meant whenever i wanted my sub on i had to open the boot and connect a wire which as u can imagine is a right pain in the arse!!! unfortunately i also forget to unplug it and have flattened my battery on several occasions!! i later found this 12v out on the head unit which if im correct should only be live when the head unit is turned on. unfortunately this is not the case. i do no that the radio can be on when the engine is not wondering if that had anything to do with it?? sorry for the essay, hope some1 can help!!

i had the same problem with my old car!! i found the best wat was to look for an ignition live behind your head unit!! with all the cables that are set up there are usualy a ignition live, a constant live and a timer live!! well on the mk2 there is!! look for that and bobs your uncle!! the amp will go off with the ignition!! it worked for me!!

mk2 punto in white, blue interior and more neons joining the car every day!! looking for ideas!!
