Your gonna need a 12 litre nevermind a 1200 to pull all this extra weight!

It looks very expensive, you must enjoy your music but please ensure you sound deaden as much as you can so the quality is good as opposed to overall loudness.

Oh, just watch the battery and possible fire risk of all those amps, probably best to have them individually switched to control the power but don't put them on the roof unless you like helicopters.

One day I will have a reason to buy a dump valve!

lol, just realised ive left my amps on back seat in college, will go and throw them in boot and then speak to you guys after my exams [xx(]

Abarth Kitted Cinq Sporting, New lil siggy pic coming soon, till then.... not much really lol

another thing bout the amp being on the door, i was led to believe that if the amp itself is screwed directly to metal it gives a bad earthing, i dont know how true this is though

Hmm...Id say it depends on how the amp is wired internally -

All Earths inside the amp might be conected to the amp case as a common earth, then the earth connector on the amp is connected directly to this.

That may cause problems.

But if its a well designed amp, all earthing should be integrated onto an earth plane on the circuit board, which is then connected to the car chassis. Unless the board is fixed to the case using a metal connector that touches the ground plane, that would be fine.

I dont know if Im correct, but Im just going off what I learnt over a yr of being forced to study electronics!

1242cc Engine to go in soon, boot delock soon, ETech Wing still in garage, so's the effing K+N!

coming to think off it, one off my amps is screwed to the seat and fails on me quite regulary, i have to disconnect it from the battery in order for it to work again, i will some day fit a switch inside my car to switch this off/on and save going under the bonnet every time.

i think that this has something to do with the earthing, but as im not techincal, just a bodger with electronics i dont really know

Maybe it's overheating? Most amps now shut down once they hit a certain temp. Mine used to do it when I had it under the passenger seat.

i got mine screwed onto the side of my sub box its fine there out of site as well and i got it earthed to the body so mine works fine and its never let me down (touch wood)

it doesnt shut down, i.e. the power goes off, just the sound goes, ive had trouble with the amp since day one so maybe its the amp

Has it got a protection led or something like that? When mine used to overheat it stopped powering the sub, but it was still one cos the green LED was on. Only thing is the red one next to it was on too.

nope, so light like that, thats what baffles me but the cut off switch will be wired in someday lol
